We normally would never address a private family matter on our business page, but unfortunately a family member has chosen to bring one here by posting extremely serious and offensive allegations about Eric and our family.
For those who know our family, our nieces have been a significant part of our lives and have spent a great deal of time living in and being cared for in our home over the years. Recently, Eric and I were granted temporary guardianship of the girls through the court. Since that happened, some very hurtful and inappropriate statements have been posted publicly about Eric, our children, our family, and now on our business page.
We strongly deny the allegations being made about Eric. We will not argue about the girls, their experiences, or an active court matter on Facebook. Their privacy, safety, and emotional well-being are far more important than winning an argument on social media.
We are preserving these comments and providing anything relevant to our attorneys. We respectfully ask our customers, friends, and family not to engage, argue, or retaliate on our behalf. If you see inappropriate comments on this page, please screenshot them and send them to us privately.
Barton Construction has always been about Eric’s work, his customers, and the reputation he has built through years of hard work. We are incredibly grateful to the customers and community members who know Eric, know his character, and continue to support our family and our business.
Our focus right now is exactly where it belongs: taking care of the children in our home, protecting their peace, and allowing the court process to work.
