But can you make it LAST?

That’s where professional refinishing begins.

Watch until the end because our manager Christian breaks down the honest truth about bathtub reglazing, proper preparation, customer maintenance, and why BathArt Refinishing is confident enough in our process to offer a Lifetime Warranty.

Here’s what we’ve learned after years in this industry:

PREP IS EVERYTHING.

On porcelain, cast iron and steel, we thoroughly degrease the surface and properly acid wash it. Not just an industrial cleaner. The goal is to properly prepare and etch the surface so the coating has the best possible foundation for adhesion.

It’s the same principle as painting anything else. Your finish is only as good as the surface underneath it.

Yes, acid washing requires proper training, PPE and ventilation. But taking the extra steps is worth it when you want to stand behind your work.

And here’s another truth…

Coating technology has gotten GOOD.

There are plenty of quality coating systems available today. What separates a great refinisher isn’t simply what comes out of the spray gun.

It’s the preparation BEFORE the gun ever comes out.

And the job isn’t finished when we leave.

CUSTOMER EDUCATION MATTERS.

We teach our customers how to properly maintain their newly refinished surface and avoid harsh abrasives like Comet and aggressive bleach based cleaners. Scrubbing Bubbles can be used, but we also recommend a simple water and cleaning vinegar mixture for routine maintenance.

BathArt also carries Blue Wash by the gallon for professionals who want to offer their customers a dedicated maintenance product, along with refinishing friendly bathmats and custom overflow drains.
