Summer is wedding season, and love is in the air! We recently renovated the Orange County Clerk of Courts Ceremony rooms at both the Ocoee and Apopka branches. Our talented designers did an incredible job making these small spaces feel special and important. Our commitment to Design Everything, even within a limited budget, truly came to life here!

What an incredible evening for KMF Architects!

On Saturday night, our team was honored to receive an AIA Florida Citation Award of Excellence for New Work for the Orange County Fire Rescue Training Center. This recognition celebrates thoughtful design, innovation, and the collaborative effort behind a project dedicated to preparing first responders to serve their community.

This award is a testament to the incredible work of our talented team, the trust of our client, and the dedication of our consultants and construction partners. Projects like this are only possible through true collaboration, and we're grateful to everyone who played a role in bringing this vision to life.

We're proud to have the Orange County Fire Rescue Training Center recognized by our peers and remain committed to creating architecture that serves communities and makes a lasting impact.

Principal Eric Kleinsteuber was honored to be a panelist at the 2026 AIA Florida Convention. In the session “Adaptive Heritage: Preserving the Past for the Resilient Future,” he discussed historical preservation code compliance challenges, cultural value, and the resilience of historic districts facing climate and flooding risks. Thanks to all who came out to hear about preserving the memory that exists in historic buildings.

We traded the design studio for the Sound Body Studio in downtown Sanford, and our sound healing session was a novel and relaxing experience! Our host, Renee, expertly played all of the instruments, including a gong and sound bowls. If you happen to be in Sanford, check it out!

Coming soon...Orange County Fire Station 31!

The design for this fire station is a harmonious blend of functionality and comfort, crafted to nurture the well-being of those who bravely serve and to equip them with the space and tools necessary to care for the community. Challenged with a site smaller than usual for a fire station, the compact footprint demanded ingenuity, with the upper floor serving as a sanctuary of rest and connection, offering rooms and shared spaces where firefighters can unwind and recharge between calls to action. Below, the operations area hums with readiness, its adaptable layout maximizing every inch to seamlessly accommodate vehicle storage and emergency response needs. Fire station 31 stands as both a beacon of public service and a model of innovative, eco-conscious architecture.

Thankful to partner with Orange County, Florida Government and Mulligan Constructors, Inc. on this project.

Orange County Fire Rescue will replace Station 31 in Dr. Phillips with a new two-story facility.
