I think we all love a before & after moment, check this one out.

Before, this kitchen had no contrast, wood on wood (in the same color) on the same color walls.
After, this kitchen has contrast & visual appeal. Breaking up the floor with painted cabinets, in two different colors, this kitchen now has distinct diversity to break up the space. The floor no longer goes on forever visually because the cabinets create a clear breaking point for ones eye. Many clients think that everything must match or it won't look right, however, contrast is needed to make any space atheistically interesting & not bland.
