age to the turf and root zone. Our process goes deep into the soil to pulverize and remove material from the root zone. Drill bits twist through the surface rather than removing valuable plugs of turf, leading to a dramatically improved healing time over conventional aerification processes. Over time, soil can become tight and compacted through heavy use and in high heat. The process of puncturing the surface of the soil, relieves these problems by allowing oxygen to be introduced into the root zone, carbon dioxide to escape, and water and nutrients to more easily flow through the soil profile. The addition of sand mixed with a topdressing helps make the field more pliable and opens the pore spaces. A little ventilation goes a long way making it more suitable for increased performance and helping to boost water drainage. The area can be immediately returned to play. The field will have some give, so when the player goes to plant their foot, they’ve got something to plant into and they don’t just slide over the surface of the turf. Drainage immediately improves. Air, water and fertilizer can quickly enter below the thatch layer into the root zone to spur growth and resilience. In a day’s time, you can see the field will have a little bit more vibrancy, it takes more than a couple of times to get you where you want to be – especially if you haven’t done anything in a couple of years.
