✈️ Traveling this summer? Your suitcase could be bringing home more than souvenirs.
Travel is one of the most common ways they get introduced into homes. These pests are expert hitchhikers, easily moving from place to place by hiding in luggage, clothing, backpacks, and personal belongings.
Before you settle into a hotel room, take a moment to inspect mattress seams, corners, the headboard, and nearby furniture. Look for dark spotting, shed skins, or any signs of activity—it only takes a minute but can save you a major headache later.
🚨Whatever you do—don’t place your suitcase on the bed or floor. Use a luggage rack whenever possible to reduce contact with common hiding areas.
When you get home, unpack in a garage or laundry area if you can, and wash + dry travel clothes on high heat to help eliminate any potential hitchhikers.
A few simple precautions can prevent a much bigger problem later.
