It’s that time again⏰ Contractors, Closers, & Connections of Orlando Closers, is excited to announce our event partner Black Architects In The Making - Orlando!

Their organization's mission is to excite and encourage the young generation of color to pursue a career in architecture. Their leadership Malcolm Jones, Assoc. AIA is excited to teach and show our youth that architecture is a viable and exciting career path.

Black Architects In The Making - Orlando provides a path of mentorship through workshops, internships, and scholarships.

Good morning CCC friends☀️

We are sure you’ve already seen her light up a room but if you haven't... meet DaLila Goodridge⭐️

DaLila Goodridge is our Director of Event Operations for Contractors, Closers, & Connections of Orlando 👏🏻

Not only is she part of planning our amazing venues, we like to think she supplies the vibes as well.

DaLila is from a small town in Southwest Missouri and started her career with The Beck Group, building a Women’s & Children’s Hospital where she found her passion for construction. She originally went to school for interior design and was a project engineer on a design-build project. It was complex, but watching what was on the plans turn into actual buildings was pretty fascinating. She soon realized she wanted to take the construction path versus design.

Over the years she transitioned to the owner’s representation side of the CRE & Construction industry working with clients across the country. She loves traveling 🧳 the🌍 world and experiencing different cultures as well as supporting our local Orlando coffee shops, restaurants, and businesses.

In addition, she created a very special networking group for women: Women in the Industry. It started because she wanted to create an informal space where women in the A/E/C and Commercial Real Estate industry could get connected and share opportunities, wins, challenges, and networks.

She loves being a part of CCC because she gets to help support and provide exposure for local businesses by hosting events at their venues. By supporting these businesses she can give back to the organizations that serve our Orlando community at the same time.

Courtney👩‍🎓graduated from University of Central Florida, and is a huge UCF Knights fan… 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓰𝓮 𝓸𝓷🏈!

She started her career in the builder world and now runs a husband and wife-owned recruiting company Framework - Talent Recruiting with husband Nick Noik. When she isn’t busy juggling 3️⃣ kiddos she loves traveling, talking to her favorite project managers & superintendents, and being a part-time coffee connoisseur☕️

Her hope for Contractors, Closers, & Connections of Orlando is to be a true resource and friend to all of the attendees, committee, and sponsors. She believes having the conversations, hopping on the phone, and taking intentional time creates lifelong partnerships & friendships.

🥁Drum roll… We would like to introduce is Branson Bowen the Founder of Contractors, Closers, & Connections of Orlando!

🅑🅘🅞: Branson is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has always been passionate about Commercial Real Estate Development. He enjoys all of the moving parts that go hand in hand with it. Branson started his career with Marcus & Millichap a commercial investment sales firm. Through organic transitions, he has made a trajectory into the full scope of commercial development. From commercial investments, client representation, and commercial construction Branson has worked to fill the needs of clients to provide them with the highest value possible.

Through the years Branson has learned the importance of building a network and connecting people together. He has had tremendous success in building a network in Orlando and is a great resource.

Every attendee and sponsor will be part of helping Black Architects In The Making - Orlando continue on their mission:

To help address this “unawareness” issue, a group of motivated Black architects from MCHarry Associates, through the Miami Center for Architecture and Design (MCAD) developed a community outreach called Black Architects in the Making (BAM). BAM mission is simple: we mobilize architects passionate about their craft to communities where predominantly black families live, learn, and play to engage students in a creative and inspirational way. Our interactions enhance their awareness of architecture and open a window to possibilities where one may not have existed. We share our journeys to becoming architects with the students using inspiring stories and creative workshops that not only educate but encourages students to consider architecture as a career. We target 8-15 year-olds but we’ve found that students of all ages request to participate in our workshops and we turn away no one.
