Perception and reality can still be quite different, and that’s certainly true when one looks at the Utah job numbers for the past few months. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Utah improved its unemployment rate to end 2020 at 3.6%, while the national average is at 6.7%. Plus, trade, transportation and utilities in the Beehive State actually added jobs. The state government’s economic report pegged the low impact of the pandemic on the diversity of the state’s industries, helping to cushion the blow.
