CHEAPER ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER!!!
We’ve corrected dozens of projects that were previously completed by other contractors, and honestly, I’ve started looking at it a little differently.
Sometimes it’s not that the contractor didn’t care or didn’t know what they were doing — they may simply have been learning in real time. Every project is different, and sometimes what a client has envisioned in their head has never actually been built before.
If you’re unhappy with something a contractor has done, communicate it. Explain what you don’t like and give them an opportunity to make it right. Ask them, “Do you feel like you can fix this?”
I remember being that contractor early on — figuring things out, learning from mistakes, and getting better with every project. And honestly, we STILL run into challenges today, especially with the more complicated, one-of-a-kind projects.
The difference is that we’ve learned to embrace the challenge, communicate, and keep improving.
So before you write someone off, give them a chance to correct it. They might surprise you — and they’ll probably become better at what they do because of it.
Or… you can always hire us from the beginning 😂
There are also plenty of talented creators and contractors out there who have been doing this for years. You might just have to wait a little longer for their availability. 😉
