Hey everyone, Ed here!

I'm the General Manager at Highland Ridge, and I'm hoping you can help me find a really great Remodeling Carpenter to join our team!

We're hiring a **Remodeling Superintendent**, and we're looking for someone who really knows their craft. Someone who can frame an addition, install cabinets, tackle a tricky remodel, and take ownership of a jobsite from start to finish.

**Here's what we're offering:**

✓$32–$42/hour + annual bonus
✓$3,000 signing bonus OR 10 extra paid days off
✓ Brand-new company van with fuel provided
✓100% employer-paid employee medical, dental & vision insurance
✓ 401(k) with 4% company match
✓ Generous PTO and paid holidays

We've been a family-owned business since 1992, and one of the things I'm most proud of is the team we've built. Some of our people have been with us for more than a decade, and I think that says a lot about the kind of place this is.

We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of solid residential remodeling experience...who takes pride in their work, treats people right, and wants to be part of a good crew.

Some before & afters are hard to believe. 👀

This pool house started as a working garage/workshop—cars, tools, exposed framing and all. Today, it’s a bright, comfortable space designed for family, friends and a whole lot of good memories.

But as proud as we are of the transformation, Vicki’s review meant even more to us:

If you’re a strong framer who can also remodel, we may have the job you’ve been looking for.

Highland Ridge Remodeling is hiring a Lead Carpenter for residential additions and remodeling projects throughout the Portland metro area.

$30–$37/hour DOE

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Lead framing on additions and structural remodels
• Read plans and figure things out in the field
• Handle demo and home protection
• Install windows, doors, siding, flooring, and trim
• Work cleanly and professionally in clients’ homes
• Help lead and develop less-experienced carpenters

This is not a framing-only job and it’s not a “do one thing all day” position.

One week you may be framing an addition. The next you may be installing windows, siding, doors, flooring, or trim on a remodel.

What you get:

✅ $30–$37/hour DOE
✅ Steady, year-round work
✅ Company vehicle or vehicle allowance + fuel

Four years ago, Allan joined the Highland Ridge family. We're better for it.

In pool, the good players don't just hit the ball and hope. They call their shot before they take it. They already know where it's going. That's Allan, through and through...whether he's talking through a tough spot with a client or figuring out how three different trades all need to show up on the same day.

He stays level headed when things get stressful.

He treats every client like they matter.

He finds a way through the problems.

And he's just plain fun to be around.

Throwback Thursday! 🔨 Back before excavators were invented, Chris had to dig the foundations by hand… uphill, both ways. 😂

Okay, maybe excavators existed...but judging by this picture, Chris apparently didn’t know that yet.

A shovel, a whole lot of dirt, and plenty of hard work. We’ve come a long way, but that hands-on, do-whatever-it-takes attitude is still a big part of Highland Ridge today.

Aaryn and Harrison are out at the Paoli addition, rockin’ and rollin’ on the rain drains! It’s not the most exciting part of the job, especially with all this hot and smoky weather...but this is Oregon, so we know the rain will be back eventually. 😂 They’re getting it done right and keeping the project moving. Nice work, guys!

After tree removal, excavation, forms, and plenty of preparation, it’s exciting to finally see the footprint of this addition taking shape. A lot of work goes into reaching this stage, and our crew did a great job getting everything ready for the pour. ONWARD!!!

We had a tough time getting those darn redwoods out, but with a little persistence, plenty of elbow grease, and a great crew, we made it happen.

The forms are in, and we’re just about ready to pour concrete. It’s exciting to see this addition starting to take shape!

Some people are just one of a kind, and Aaron is definitely one of them.

Today marks 11 years with Highland Ridge, and honestly, we couldn't do what we do without him.

Aaron is hands down the most talented framer we've ever had on our team. We joke all the time that we wish we could clone him, but the truth is, there just isn't another Aaron.

He's loyal, hardworking, dependable, and always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. When it's time to buckle down, he gets after it. When it's time to have a little fun, he's right there keeping everyone laughing. More than anything, he's just a genuinely good guy who cares about his team, our clients, and the work he puts his name on.

We're incredibly grateful to have Aaron as part of the Highland Ridge family. Thanks for everything you've done over the past 11 years. Here's to a few more.
