Hi folks! For those of you who knew of us "pre-economic downturn": WE ARE BACK in the business of creating the best outdoor surroundings we can imagine. We enjoy it so much, we just could not stay away.
For those of you who haven't heard of us: we are Jerry and April Flowerdew. No, we did not change our name to fit our business. Jerry was born with it, and I could not possibly turn it down when that marriage proposal came. LOL. We design and build landscapes of all sizes, any budget, and can renovate to turn an existing landscape into something more functional or beautiful, OR BOTH!
Jerry has decades in the business and knows all the ins and outs of grading for proper drainage (and installing drains where someone messed up the grade), installing hardscapes such as pavers, slate, block or rock walls, decks, trellises and arbors. He has a great eye for focal points and helps you layout your space for the best possible use. And he has built many, many amazing water features. Ponds, waterfalls, bubble rocks and spillways. I will be posting pictures of some of our work as time allows.
April knows her plants, and is known for combining them for year 'round interest. It's possible to have flowers in your yard almost any time of the year, and when there are no flowers, we have leaf color, bark color, shape and texture to attract the eye. Her style leans toward a natural look with layers of color, interest and height, without sacrificing rhythm and continuity. She has also created English Gardens, formal plantings, perennial gardens, rose gardens, landscapes with a feel of Tuscany, neighborhood streetscapes...
