Today, and this past weekend was for the backbone of America. 🇺🇸

The ones who get up before the sun. Who put on their boots, grab their hard hat, and go to work. The welders. The drivers. The operators. The laborers. The finishers. The mechanics. The tradesmen and women who build, haul, pour, lift, repair, and keep this country moving.

Most of what they do will never make the news. Most people will never know their names. But they'll drive on the roads they helped build. Walk into the buildings they helped construct. Turn on the water. Flip on the lights. Cross the bridges. And depend every day on infrastructure built by people willing to do hard work.

At DVP, we're damn proud to be part of that world.

Another big one moving through production at DVP.

Our latest large-scale project is this 3-sided rigid-frame box culvert, and these sections are every bit as heavy-duty as they look.

The project includes 15 precast sections, each measuring approximately 6'-11" x 25' x 6' O.D., with 30-inch-thick sidewalls and a 20-inch-thick roof.

Each section tips the scales at approximately 64,000 lbs.

DVP is also producing the precast footers that will support the culvert sections in the field. At 11'-3"x14'-6"x2' thick, they aren't much smaller than the culvert. By the time production is complete, we'll have placed approximately 432 cubic yards of concrete into this project.

Projects like this put a lot of pieces to work, engineering, forming, reinforcing, concrete production, quality control, heavy lifting, and a crew that knows how to safely handle some serious precast.

We're excited to see this one taking shape and we'll be sharing more as it moves through production and eventually heads to the jobsite.

Installation Phase Two ✔️

The second phase of the Penn State University North Campus Pump Station installation is officially complete.

This morning our drivers delivered and set the final three riser sections, bringing this impressive 11'-4" × 13'-2" × 30' inside dimension pump station one step closer to completion.

Our team, along with Ameron Construction & Allison Crane & Rigging made it look routine.

With the risers now in place, we'll turn the project over for installation of the internal mechanical components before returning to set the top slab and complete the structure.

Projects like this showcase exactly what precast concrete does best, speed, quality, and precision.

We're proud to play a role in another major infrastructure improvement at Penn State University.

One more trip back for the lid... and this one will be wrapped up.

North Campus Pump Station | Penn State University

The North Campus Pump Station at Penn State University officially began taking shape today.

After the long holiday weekend, our team safely delivered, then watched our partners at Ameron Construction set the first three sections of this massive precast structure. At 13'-8" wide, these oversized loads demanded detailed planning, experienced drivers, and flawless ex*****on from the time they left our yard until they were lowered into the excavation.

At 11'-4" × 13'-2" × 30' inside dimensions, this isn't just another manhole and will be installed in two phases to allow proper backfill and compaction.

Quality doesn't stop at the concrete.

To ensure decades of performance, the structure features: Conseal CS-55 exterior damp proof coating and Conseal CS-98 epoxy interior coating as well as dual rows of CS-102 butyl sealant at every joint for maximum watertight integrity.

Projects like this don't happen because of one person. They happen because of skilled drivers navigating oversized loads, experienced production crews building exceptional products and trusted partners like Allison Crane & Rigging executing the picks along with our partners at Ameron Construction with their field personnel who understand that precision matters.

Another great example of what can be accomplished when quality, planning, and teamwork all come together.

We’re now offering a standard-duty lawn inlet with a cast iron frame and grate.

This unit is 24" round x 24" deep ID, with 3" walls and floor, and includes four 16" diameter knockouts that can accept up to 12" HDPE pipe.

It’s a great fit for low-lying yard areas, downspout drainage, or anywhere you need a clean, durable drainage solution without stepping up to a traffic-rated heavy-duty inlet.

For New Jersey customers, these units are in stock and available through our distribution partner, Septic Services LLC, helping us provide local inventory and support throughout the region.

Most people see a finished precast structure. What they don’t see is the craftsmanship behind the scenes that makes products like this possible.

Quality custom precast starts long before concrete is poured. It starts with skilled carpenters and craftsmen building precise formwork by hand. When the formwork is right, the finished product speaks for itself.

Another busy week wrapping up at DVP.

More specialty inlets delivered and set in State College for our partners at Glenn O. Hawbaker. We also, alongside our partners at Septic Services LLC, picked up our new 4-chamber Norweco form.

This investment continues to separate DVP from the pack and further establishes DVP and Septic Services as premier Norweco suppliers in the Mid-Atlantic region. Bigger capabilities. Faster turnaround. Quality products built by people who still take pride in what leaves the yard.
