🏛️ Two columns. That’s all this one needs.

Most patio covers get pushed straight off the back wall into open yard — and out there, every corner has to be carried by a post of its own. This custom Elitewood Lattice Patio Cover is drawn into the inside corner of the house instead, ledgered along two existing walls. The house carries two of its corners. Only two full-scale structural columns come down onto the patio, so you keep the floor.

This custom Elitewood Lattice Patio Cover steps instead: a higher run against the house, a lower run projecting out over the patio, each with its own beam and its own shaped outrigger tails. The cover changes height as it comes off the house, so it reads as architecture instead of a lid.

You can see the shade working.

A kit gets chopped square. This one got drawn. 📐

Nobody buys a patio cover for the beam ends. But the beam ends are where you can see whether anyone actually drew it.

Look at where the rafters land. Every rafter and outrigger on this cover ends in a scalloped profile — a shaped end cut, repeated identically down the whole run and around the corner. A kit ends its beams with a straight saw cut, because a straight cut is what ships in a box and a shaped one has to be specified.

Solid or Lattice? This homeowner said yes. ☀️

Two roof systems. One patio.

The section against the house is an Insulated panel — foam-core aluminum that blocks radiant heat, so it’s genuinely cooler under there, not just shaded. Recessed downlights wire flush into it: no conduit, nothing hanging below the ceiling line.

The outer section is open Lattice — paint-grade slats rib-to-rib, real dappled light, still open to the sky and the breeze. That half isn’t insulated, and it isn’t meant to be. It’s what keeps the patio from feeling closed in.

Watch the floor and you can see exactly where one ends and the other begins.
