Before a remodel can move forward, the plumbing has to prove it can hold water. 💧

For this hydrostatic test, we plugged the system, filled the drain lines with water, and checked for leaks while the plumbing was still exposed. If everything stays watertight, we call in the inspector and move on to the next phase. ✅

The goal is to find any problem now—not after the floors and walls have been put back together.

Randy had a leaking water heater and a problem that could have become much bigger if left alone.

He called 409 Plumbing. John found the issue, explained the available options, and gave him a clear plan for the repair. Once Randy decided how he wanted to move forward, we took care of the rest.

One toilet stopped flushing, and the homeowner needed to know whether the problem went any farther. 🚽

409 Plumbing checked the nearby fixtures and the second bathroom. Since everything else was working properly, we were able to narrow it down to an isolated stoppage and make a clear plan: clear the blockage, test the toilet, and get every bathroom back in working order. ✅

Not every stopped-up toilet is a plunger job. 🚽

When the blockage is farther down, a toilet auger gives us the extra reach we need. This one has a six-foot cable that runs through the toilet and into the drain line to help things move again.
