I had an interesting takedown today. Rotted up on side as you can see. Got it on the ground and finished up. It was tough. My 3120 has a 42 inch bar on it and it was about 6 inches short at the trunk. But we made it work.

I had a job I went to yesterday and things looked great….from the ground. Once I got up into the top, I found where it had a previous tear out and had rotted down 10 to 15 feet into the trunk. There were several large limbs and a huge angled top that would have to be rigged down as they were all out over chain link fences. After checking it out, I made the decision not to go forward with the removal because I felt the top could not support the weight during the rigging process. I hated that I couldn’t complete the job for the customer, but my gut feeling was to walk away. I explained everything to the customer and showed them the pictures. They were very understanding.
