In honor of back-to-school season, we’re throwing it back to one of our more meaningful projects: J.P. Lord Elementary.

This one-of-a-kind 45,000-square-foot school was custom-designed to support and empower students with special needs. From fully accessible hallways and mobility devices throughout the building to specialized multi-sensory rooms and a dedicated therapy pool, every detail was built with inclusivity and independence in mind.

Project update🚧 from South Lincoln: We are framing the future site of New Horizon Academy, located near S. 40th & Yankee Hill Rd.

This is our third project with New Horizon Academy as they continue to expand into Nebraska. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

When Food Bank for the Heartland needed more space to meet the growing demand for emergency food assistance, Darland Construction was proud to help bring their vision to life.

The new 105,000-square-foot packing and distribution center expands warehouse and cold storage capacity, dramatically increases protein processing capabilities, and improves the experience for the hundreds of volunteers who support the mission each week. Thanks to the addition of solar power, the facility is also designed for long-term energy efficiency—helping direct more resources toward feeding families across 93 counties in Nebraska and western Iowa.

Our team had a great time at the 24th Annual Don Wrieth Tradition of Excellence Golf Tournament supporting the Durham School. It was a great day to connect with industry partners while giving back to a program that has helped educate many of our own team members. ⛳🏌️

At Food Bank for the Heartland, a generous donation made it possible to add a solar energy system to the building. The result? Even though the new facility is 40% larger and includes significantly more freezer and cooler space, it's using about the same amount of traditional power as the previous building.
