Big ash out front here in Omaha that was due for a cleanup.

We climbed it and cleaned out the deadwood, took back a large branch hanging out over the street, and cleaned out the water sprouts in the center of the tree. Deadwood in a big tree like this is what comes down in the next storm, and clearing the water sprouts opens it up so it gets better airflow.

Backyard tree here in Omaha that had some deadwood and lowest branches hanging over the fence into the neighbor's yard.

We raised those low branches up so they're not hanging as low into the neighbor's yard, cleaned out some deadwood and thinned out a branch on the southwest side to give the neighbors river birch a little breathing room. Cleaning branches over a fence line keeps things friendly with the neighbors and reduces the chance of potential damage in the next storm.

Three trees, one morning here in Omaha. The front river birch was hanging low over the driveway and growing into the side of the house. A neighbor's tree was reaching out over the driveway, and a big blue spruce was pushing up against the garage.

We raised the river birch all the way around and trimmed it back from the house. Then we raised the neighbor's tree and trimmed it back off the driveway so you can pull in without branches scraping the car. Last was the blue spruce. We trimmed it back from the garage and raised it up to about 6 feet, so there's room to walk and mow under it and the branches aren't rubbing on the siding anymore.

Branches touching a house or garage wear on the siding and roof and give critters an easy way up. A little clearance goes a long way.

A full cleanup here in Omaha. One tree was leaning toward the building, and a mostly dead oak was waiting to come down. The trees along the street were hanging low over the road and the sidewalk, and volunteer trees filled in along the south bushes.

We climbed and took down the leaning tree and the dead oak piece by piece. Then we raised the street trees to about 18 feet over the road so trucks can get by, and trimmed the lowest branches back over the sidewalk for about 10 feet of clearance. Last, we cleaned out all the volunteer trees along the south side.

Low branches over a street or sidewalk get hit by trucks and people walking by. Taking care of it early keeps everyone safe.

Before and after on an overgrown maple here in Omaha. The limbs were rubbing on the house and giving animals a free ride onto the roof.

Branches rubbing on a roof wear down shingles, gutters and trim over time. They also give animals an easy way onto your house. We raised the canopy all the way around, cut the limbs back to the next best branch union, and cleaned the deadwood out of the lower canopy.
