With all of the snow coming there will be more headaches than just slick roads..

An ice dam is a ridge of ice that forms at the edge of a roof and prevents melting snow (water) from draining off the roof. The water that backs up behind the dam can leak into a home and cause damage to walls, ceilings, insulation, and other areas.

This is a natural phenomenon and has to do with the heat escaping your home. Which is usually an indication of the level of insulation in your attic or the ventilation in your attic.

This is something we can diagnose/address/fix.

We are equipped to handle roof snow removal and ice dam removal, let us know if we can be of any service!

“I didn’t notice any damage.”
“My adjuster said I had damage, but it wasn’t that bad.”
“My insurance paperwork is only replacing part of my roof.”
“I was told I didn’t have any visible damage.”

If any of those words sound familiar-it is time for a re-inspection!

This beautiful West Omaha home was damaged during the 2017 storm...along with every home around it. We inspected it, found significant damage and the homeowner filed a claim.

In August, the insurance adjuster said the roof wasn’t that bad and refused to replace the roof! Craziness!

Fast forward a few months, a second opinion, and lots of paperwork, the insurance company finally agreed to inspecting the entire property again.

Today’s inspection went smoothly and the homeowners and Roof Brigade are all happy. The adjuster included the entire roof, paint (that was also denied previously), and a few other things that were originally ignored.

Moral of the story?? RE-INSPECT!

Call Roof Brigade at 402-213-3240 for a free inspection ESPECIALLY if your roof was denied or their “wasn’t enough damage”.

Spring is in the air! We will have roofs loaded with materials and ready to restore before you know it!

There are thousands of properties that were hit last year that have not been restored let alone inspected yet. Not to mention the number of homes that were denied that should not have been.

If you know anyone who needs our help, now is the time to call Roof Brigade for a free-inspection!

Happy Birthday to the man that started it all!

Since he is the boss and signs the checks, I don’t dare post an embarrassing photo of him.

But if anyone has any they would like to share-we would love to see them!! And I’m sure JR Rocha would love to see them as well!

Happy Birthday, Boss!!! 🥃🥜🎁🎈

What is the difference between sleet, hail and freezing rain?

Freezing rain: Percipitation that freezes when it hits the ground or objects. Freezing rain is what causes power lines to fall down and branches to break. Turns driveways, sidewalks and parking lots into ice rinks.

Sleet: Sleet occurs during a winter storm and is caused by rain hitting a cold air patch (below freezing) and the rain turns into small ice pellets.

Hail: Occurs during thunderstorms when strong updrafts lift particles of ice up into the clouds. The ice grows larger and when it becomes too heavy-the hailstones fall to the ground.

So...tonight at 11:00pm out in Elkhorn, NE, it was thundering and lightening. So is this sleet (because it is winter) or is this mini-hail (because it was thundering and lightening)?????
We will let you decide.

Lots of schools are already cancelled for Tuesday, February 20th.

If you have to go out on Tuesday-DRIVE SAFE!
