While handing out flyers in Omaha, we noticed that most of the garage floor coatings we came accross are of very low quality. We saw several garage floor coatings where the company doing the work used a cheap product that yellows and they did not put enough topcoat down to cover the flakes. The company did not spend enough time grinding nor any time patching holes or cracks before applying the coating. We could see the low spots and cracks through the coating.
The floors looked like the companies came in and used their grinders as fast as possible so they could put a fast drying base coat down that would be ready to scrape in 4 hours. It seemed to us that their only goal was to put down the floor coating in one day.
Here at MacFarlane Services, our goal is to do high quality work that lasts. We would rather use the best material for the job, prep the concrete correctly and patch all of the holes, craters and cracks in the concrete using a high quality polyurea concrete patch before applying the basecoat. We also use the correct amount of topcoat over the flakes. Dirt should not get trapped between the flakes. If it is hard to clean, that means there was not enough topcoat applied.
