Just wrapped up a project replacing a desktop and keyboard tray with solid black walnut.

The desktop measures 90” × 26” × 1.5”, and the keyboard tray is 64” × 16” × ¾”. Each piece came from a single slab. Along the way, we ripped the slabs to thickness, planed and flattened them with our router sled, sanded everything smooth, and applied the finish.

Overall, I’m really happy with how this project turned out!

Had a great day out with the mill this past weekend. Maxed out the mill with a large 34” diameter oak log. Got some great quarter sawn logs out of this one!

Another great day with our sawmill!

This job included about 15 logs, a mix of beautiful black walnut and oak. It’s always rewarding to watch raw logs transform into quality lumber, and this batch had some really great grain in it.
