Today’s repair: a refrigerant leak traced back to a failed Schrader valve on this Mitsubishi system. We replaced the faulty valve, stopped the leak, and got the system back to running properly.

Today we were on a furnace call down the road. We replaced the high-limit switch, but once the burners came on, the new switch opened too. The blower wasn’t running, so heat was building up inside the furnace.

The limit switch did its job: it shut the burners off when the furnace got too hot. We traced the blower problem to a failed capacitor. Once we replaced it, the blower came on and moved the heat through the house.

Your furnace can make water? Yep—if it’s a 90%+ efficiency furnace.

That water normally flows out through a condensate drain. If the drain or trap clogs, water can back up and leak around the furnace. On some systems, a safety switch may also shut the heat off.

Today’s system wasn’t working because of a failed capacitor. A capacitor helps the compressor and fan motors start and run properly, and when it fails, the entire system can stop working.

We replaced the failed capacitor, tested the system, and got everything back up and running.
