We are happy to once again sponsor The Arena at the Ulster County Fair. Part of our sponsorship is that we support the kids classes of garden tractor pulling with cash prizes. It's important to us to help these young men and women along in their love for the small engine world. Tim bought his first garden tractor to help grow his business after first pushing his parents mower up and down the road mowing lawns in the neighborhood. Tim will often give a brief summary of Elmendorf Landscaping: "The push mower bought the tractor, the tractor bought the zero turn, the zero turn bought the jeep & trailer, the jeep and trailer bought the first truck, and we've been working hard and reinvesting ever since. But the business really started with a ton of sweat equity and that tractor."

Please come join us at the Ulster County Fair on Tuesday August 4th. The pulls start at 3pm (the main fair gate opens at 4pm) as we cheer on the next generation of pullers!

Good morning everyone, We've been a little busy and forgot to post our update from the community cleanup weekend back in April.

We wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who came out over the weekend of April 25th & 26th to help clean up some of the roads in the town of Olive. With the support of multiple families & individuals along with some local businesses we cleaned up almost 10 miles of road in Samsonville. We collected approximately 2 yards of trash, along with 38 tires, 4 box springs, 2 mattresses, a couple end tables, some electronics like old VCRs, TV's, Radios, an old hot water heater and more!

Special thanks to the following businesses who supported this effort:
County Waste who donated a dumpster for the event for the bagged trash.
Tetta's Market & Primo Stropoli who donated coffee & snacks to the volunteers, along with being the original business to spearhead the cleanup.
Elmendorf Landscaping (Tim Elmendorf, Abby Elmendorf) for donating the trucks & manpower to collect & move the trash, along with $240 to cover the dumping fees at the Town of Olive transfer station for the tires & boxsprings.

Now for the more upsetting side. This is the third year we have cleaned up the same stretch of roadways. 33 of the 38 tires along with all of the electronics, mattresses etc were dumped in the same areas that we cleaned up last year. We all live here, we all love our beautiful area, and most of us work together to try to make it a better place to live. Please be considerate, don't dump your trash on the side of the road. Also, Our business only has a certain amount of finances that we can donate every year to various worthy causes, and we would have been much happier donating the $240 spent to properly dispose of these items to the local food drive that we sponsor to help those who are hurting & Hungry rather than those who choose to dump trash on the sides of the road.

ATTENTION!! Samsonville community cleanup day, April 25, 2026!!
Elmendorf Landscaping is proud to partner with Tetta's Market for this yearly event.

Samsonville’s third annual community cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 25, starting at 10 AM.
The cleanup will focus on the sides of the roads in Samsonville, stretching along County Roads 2 and 3, Upper Samsonville Road, Jomar Lane, Krom Road, Kelder Highway and Brown Road. The cleanup zones have been divided up into 10 sections, each ranging from 0.5 mile to 1.5 miles in length. A map can be found at tettasmarket.com under the “Community” tab. Volunteers will choose which section they want to be responsible for and can meander at their own pace, cleaning up both sides of the road along the way. It is recommended that volunteers don’t stray further than 15 feet from the shoulder of the road. Once the red garbage bags are full, tie them up and leave them on the side of the road to be picked up later.
We will provide plastic gloves, bags, pickers, bug spray, hand sanitizer and reflective safety vests. Snacks and refreshments will also be provided for volunteers at Tetta’s before, during and after the cleanup. The safety vests and pickers must be returned at the end of the event to be used again next year.
This year we added the ability for volunteers to register additional roads that do not fall within our designated cleanup area. We will provide all the same equipment listed above, however, volunteers assume all additional responsibility for these roads.
