So i have some news about how myself and the company are going forward from this point on. I got approached with a job offer for a foreman/crew lead position and with how slow the business has been i had a long talk with the wife about how i should move going forward. I accepted the position after the interveiw went well. As far as my business im not closing down completely rather i am going to be doimg certain jobs on the side. Thank you for all of the support

Once again i find myself in a spot where work has dried up way to soon for me. Between trying my hardest to give people resonable quotes and they expect me to go lower only to find out they have been wronged by someone who charged more or they got sub par work done by someone cheaper, or just people being scum after they put on a friendly face to begin with. The ladt 4 years have taken its toll on myself both mentally and physically. Ive been curtious and polite to people who i back in the day wouldve punched for the way they treated me. I had my name drug through dirt and court over people trying to get one over on me. Honestly it comes down to the not so pleasant people i have dealt with that has made me lose interest in the thing i love doing for a job. Its goten to the point i havnt even wanted to open my work trailor or even touch a tool. So with all that being said and after taking some time to think, sometime next week i will be selling my tools and trailor and ill be calling it quits. Thanks for the support people have giving me.

Set the record strait here. I am a contractor, not a handyman. In the state of iowa you have to make less then $2000 a year to be classified as a handyman. It bugs me when i see signs in peoples yards saying they are handymen. Unless you are lieing on your taxes you need a cobtractors license to perform anywork within the state of iowa just like me.

After wind and rain and being sick i finally finished this project. I tore off the old siding, put new osb on, house wrap, new windows and doors, new soffit, facia and gutters and new roof.
