As our painting season in the northeast approves that end, our crews have been busy in the northeast working for a variety of great customers. Blasting and coating natural gas assets keeping them free from corrosion and right of way mowing has kept us all busy.

We look forward to transitioning our crews down south this winter to work on some really cool projects.

What looks like an easy project to pull off, there are many steps that we take at MJP Energy Services to ensure complete customer satisfaction and an asset that is protected from corrosion for years to come.

This pipeline header required masking of sensitive areas not to receive blasting and coating. After sandblasting we blow off the asset to get it ready for application of the primer and topcoat.

Final steps involve application of Rock Guard and back filling areas that were dug up. And a final rake and cleanup of the work area.

Our crews are recording substrate readings and ambient conditions throughout each step. This information is shared daily with our customers. They have total insight into the work we are doing on their project from start to finish. No surprises. Pictures and timestamps show the progress and time on task.

One of the things our customers value the most when doing business with MJP Energy Services is the line of communication and the visibility of looking at the work being done.

Our two new John Deere 4-wheel drive tractors are already in the field clearing up those overgrown ROWs 💪

Equipped with 12’ “batwing” mowers, they can cover more ground in a shorter amount of time, meaning our crew has to do fewer passes. This way, MJP Energy Services efficiently maintains large ROW areas while keeping productivity high. For areas where a smaller footprint is needed, our other John Deere tractor with an 8’ mower deck provides added versatility and precision.

All of those John Deere tractors can take on hillier terrain, so MJP is prepared to handle all kinds of challenges the job site can throw! More equipment options mean more capability in the field.

There are many assets used in the processing and transporting of natural gas. Corrosion spares none of them. That’s where MJP Energy Services comes in. Performing the correct surface preparation, followed by the application of the correct coating to specs brings these assets back to new condition and able to fight off corrosion for years to come. When a new client in the Northeast had coating failure from a contractor less than a year ago, they called on MJP Energy Services to do the job right this time!

Intense masking and prepping on these active cooler units in preparation of sandblasting, our crew utilized canvas tarps, reinforced blast and a lot of duct tape to get things ready.

Near white sandblast clean to remove the failed coating, zinc primer, epoxy mastic intermediate and topped it all off with a high gloss urethane finish!

Man, does it shine bright like a diamond!
