This is what we think of when we hear of a cozy spot to gather.

Here’s our third spotlight with designer Allyson Kelchen, as she talks about the design of this beautiful Leawood home remodel. This lower-level bar pairs consistent cabinetry with a lighter Taj Valmont quartz countertop inspired by the look of Taj Mahal quartzite. No upper cabinets, no sink—just a beautiful surface and room to unwind.

Still dreaming about this beautiful primary bath designed by Roeser Homes. A little everyday luxury, a whole lot of spa-ready relaxation.

As we continue our tour of this beautiful Leawood home, we’re stepping into the boys’ bathroom, where thoughtful material choices bring the entire space together.

From carrying the same stone used in the laundry room into this space to incorporating polished Taj Mahal accents, creamy subway tile, and subtle hexagon flooring, every detail was selected to create a timeless, cohesive look.

It’s proof that even the smallest spaces can make a lasting impression.

Join Anna from Rocktops and designer Allyson Kelchen of Allyson Kelchen Studio as they walk us through the details!

Beautiful spaces should make everyday life feel a little easier.

Anna talks with designer Alison Kelton of Alison Kelton Studios about what went into transforming a hardworking laundry room into a serene, functional space designed around the rhythm of a busy family.

Because even the busiest rooms in your home deserve thoughtful design and beautiful details.

WRITTEN IN STONE | Mike’s Story

After all these years, Mike still gets excited to come to work in the morning.

He sees the team getting started, stone being cut and polished, and countertops getting ready to go into someone’s home. The business has grown since 2013, but that feeling hasn’t gone away.

Hear more of Mike’s story in the first film of our Written in Stone series.

WRITTEN IN STONE | More Than a Number

Rocktops has been part of approximately 40,000 homes across Kansas City. That number means a lot to us, but we’ve never seen those homes as just jobs completed.

They’re kitchens where families gather after long days. Where meals are made, conversations happen, and everyday memories take shape.

We’re grateful to have played a small part in making each space feel like home. That’s the story behind the number—and it’s written in stone.

WRITTEN IN STONE | Episode 01: Mike’s Story

In 2013, Mike started Rocktops with a handful of employees, a shop to set up, and a deadline he admits was probably too tight. He ordered materials, ran the forklift, cut and polished stone, and even installed countertops himself.

The first job came before he felt ready. The team pushed through, made the install date, and kept going.

Today, Mike still gets excited walking through the shop in the morning. That feeling—and the people who share it—are part of the story behind every Rocktops project.

Written in Stone takes you inside Rocktops to meet the people, hear the stories, and see the work behind the finished countertop.

It starts with Mike. Watch his story. 🎬
