A little before & after for your feed.

This homeowner chose Malarkey Vista Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in Sienna Blend, and we love how the warmer tones complement the brick and stone on this home.

Metal Roof Monday

“But isn’t a metal roof REALLY loud when it rains?”

We hear this one a lot, and we know exactly what people are picturing. Rain pouring down on an old tin barn.

A residential metal roof installed over a proper roofing system is a completely different situation. Your roof has decking, underlayment, insulation and the rest of your home’s construction between you and the metal. You’re not sitting directly underneath a bare sheet of metal listening to every raindrop hit it.

Will every house sound exactly the same? Of course not. Construction and insulation can make a difference. But the idea that having a metal roof means you’ll be sitting inside listening to deafening rain every time an Oklahoma storm rolls through is definitely one myth we can put to rest.

So if noise has been the reason you’ve crossed metal off your list, don’t let that be the deciding factor.

Now THAT is a roof upgrade.

This home got the full treatment with Malarkey Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in Brilliant Black, new standing seam metal over the front porch and dormers, plus new gutters and downspouts.
We love when a project doesn’t just protect the home better, but completely changes the look of it too. This one turned out SO good. Project managed by our very own Joshua Greninger!

Metal Roof Monday

When you’re comparing shingles and metal, it’s easy to look at one thing first. The price.

But there’s another part of the conversation that matters too. How long do you want this roof to last?

A properly installed metal roof can have a much longer service life than a traditional asphalt shingle roof. That’s one of the biggest reasons homeowners who plan on staying in their home long term start looking at metal.

There are other benefits too. Metal is low maintenance, handles Oklahoma weather well when the right system is installed, and you get a completely different look than a traditional shingle roof.

It definitely isn’t the right choice for every homeowner, but if you’re planning to be in your home for a long time, it’s worth looking at the bigger picture instead of just comparing the initial price.

Sometimes the better question isn’t just “What does it cost?”

It’s “What am I getting for that investment?”

Metal Roof Monday

One of the biggest reasons homeowners never even consider a metal roof is pretty simple. They assume it’s going to be WAY more expensive. And sometimes metal will cost more upfront than shingles. But the difference might not be nearly as much as you think.

That’s one of the reasons we’re talking about metal more. We have a great installer and really competitive pricing right now, which means we can give our customers another option without automatically putting it out of reach.

If you’re already getting a price on a new roof, ask us to price it both ways. Shingles AND metal.

You don’t have to choose metal. You might look at the numbers and decide shingles make more sense for you. But you might also be really surprised by the difference.

Don’t rule it out before you price it!

Let's talk about metal roofs.

If you’ve ever thought about a metal roof but immediately assumed it would be way out of your budget, maybe it's time to take another look. We’ve got a great metal crew, great pricing, and we’re excited to start showing you a whole lot more of what metal can do. It's durable, long lasting, low maintenance, and it just looks GOOD.

So we're turning Mondays into Metal Roof Mondays for a little while. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be breaking down cost, benefits, common misconceptions, styles, and why metal might be worth considering for your next roof.

If you're thinking about replacing your roof, ask us to price a metal option too. You might be surprised at the difference.
