Not every part of the job is pretty. 💪

Before anything green goes in, there is a lot of digging and prep work happening underground. Our crew at OBU has been grinding through it, and it shows.

Fresh sod, and the water is already on it. 💧

Out at Yukon High School our crews are laying sod, installing irrigation, and boring under the existing pavement. Getting the sod established early is a big part of making it last.

Every week starts the same way. 🦺

Before anyone heads out to a jobsite, our crews get together for a toolbox talk to go over safety and the week ahead. It is a simple habit, but it is one of the most important things we do.

May vs. September at OBU. 🌱

A few months ago the grounds around Raley Chapel were all dirt. Now the sod is down and the walks are in. Still more to come out in Shawnee, with 59 trees and 694 shrubs on the way.

Different project. Different equipment. Same hardworking team. 👏

Every day our crews are out across Oklahoma doing whatever the job calls for, whether that means working with shovels, operating equipment or handling the small details that keep a project moving in the right direction.

We have a lot of great projects to show off, but we are even more proud of the people behind them.

A lot of the most important work on a landscape happens below the surface. 💧

Our team has also been installing the irrigation system at Bethany First Church, helping make sure the new landscape will have the water coverage it needs once everything is established.

It is one of those parts of a project you may not notice once everything is finished, but it plays a major role in keeping the landscape healthy long term.

GreenShade has had the opportunity to be part of improvements across several parks throughout The Village. 🌳🏀

From Meeker, Bumpass, Johnson, Duffner and Harrison Park, each space has received updates designed to give the community more ways to get outside and enjoy where they live.

New features throughout the parks include additions like a basketball court, covered pavilion, playground areas and a pump track, along with the landscape work that helps bring everything together.

It has been great seeing these parks take shape and become spaces the community can enjoy for years to come.

A finished project starts with a whole lot of work that most people never see.

Digging, grading, moving dirt, preparing the ground and getting everything exactly where it needs to be is all part of the process.

Our crews take pride in doing the work right from the ground up, and that effort shows in the finished product.

Throwing it back to Reaves Park in Norman. 🌳

This was a big one for the GreenShade team, with irrigation, a booster pump, more than 200 trees and over 400,000 square feet of Tahoma 31 sod going into the project.

A lot of work went into bringing this space together, and it is always rewarding to look back at projects that have become a lasting part of the community.
