🌲 On This Day in American History

On August 25, 1916, the National Park Service was established to preserve America's most treasured landscapes, historic landmarks, and cultural heritage for future generations.

For more than a century, the National Park Service has protected places that tell the story of our nation—from towering mountains and winding rivers to battlefields, monuments, and archaeological sites. These public lands remind us that conservation and responsible stewardship are investments in America's future.

At Associated Industries, we share that commitment. Every day, our teams work to restore and protect natural resources, helping preserve the land, water, and communities that future generations will depend on.

A legacy worth protecting. A future worth building.

The Right Tools Make Better Decisions.

Every successful environmental investigation begins with understanding what's below the surface—and that starts with the right equipment.

During the Young Professionals Field Day, participants got an up-close look at the tools environmental professionals rely on every day, including:
🔹 Geoprobe® drilling systems
🔹 Drill rigs and support equipment
🔹 Continuous soil core sampling tools
🔹 Well screens and monitoring materials
🔹 Drill bits and core barrels

Each piece of equipment plays a specific role in collecting accurate field data that helps environmental professionals evaluate site conditions, understand geology, and make informed remediation decisions.

Technology makes the work possible. Experience turns that information into solutions.

Learning by Doing.

Environmental investigation isn't something you fully learn from a textbook.

The concepts begin in the classroom—but real understanding happens in the field.

During the OGWA Young Professionals Field Day, participants moved beyond presentations and into hands-on demonstrations where they examined continuous soil cores, explored drilling equipment, handled well construction materials, and learned how environmental professionals collect the information needed to understand what's happening beneath the surface.

Experiences like these help bridge the gap between education and industry by giving future professionals the opportunity to ask questions, interact with experienced mentors, and connect theory with practice.

Investing in hands-on learning today helps build the environmental leaders of tomorrow.

What a great way to kick off the inaugural OGWA Young Professionals Field Day!

On Friday, we welcomed students and young professionals to the Ranch in Purcell for a day of hands-on learning, networking, and real-world environmental investigation.

From the classroom to the field, attendees experienced how environmental professionals characterize sites before remediation begins. Throughout the day, participants explored drilling equipment, examined soil cores, learned about well construction materials, and connected with industry professionals eager to share their knowledge.

A few highlights included:

✔️ Breakfast networking
✔️ "Characterize Before You Remediate" Lunch & Learn
✔️ Live drilling demonstrations
✔️ Soil core and sample analysis
✔️ Equipment demonstrations
✔️ Branded hard hats and safety vests for every attendee

The best part? Watching participants ask thoughtful questions, examine samples firsthand, and see how classroom concepts translate into real-world fieldwork.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the volunteers, instructors, and industry partners who helped make our inaugural event a success.

We're already looking forward to the next Young Professionals Field Day.

Over the weekend, our team had the privilege of supporting a community Flag Retirement Ceremony in partnership with local veterans and volunteers.

Hundreds of American flags were respectfully retired according to established tradition, honoring the service, sacrifice, and values they represent.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible and proud to be part of a community that continues to come together in service to others.

Thank you to the American Legion, volunteers, and all those who participated in this meaningful day.

Environmental projects often involve more than one phase of work.

Assessment helps define site conditions, remediation helps address environmental concerns, and monitoring helps track progress over time. Each step plays a different role in moving a project forward.
