For nearly 2 decades, Corey and Desiree Penrod have built Penrod Construction Company on a foundation of craftsmanship, integrity, family, and a commitment to doing every job with excellence.

Originally from Okeechobee, Florida, Corey and Desiree founded and grew Penrod Construction Company into a trusted construction business serving homeowners throughout Florida. After years of personally overseeing projects from start to finish, they began sensing that God was leading them into a new season…one that would allow them to expand their impact while creating opportunities for the next generation of their family to become more involved in the business.

In 2025, Corey and Desiree made a significant move to Daphne, Alabama, where they joined close friends Aaron and Sarah Hall in helping establish Jubilee City Church. What began as a step of faith into a new state has become an exciting new chapter for both their family and their business.

While Alabama is now home, the Penrods have continued to maintain their roots in Florida. Penrod Construction is expanding its services to include custom home construction, remodeling, general contracting, consulting, and trim carpentry, with projects serving clients in Okeechobee, the Florida Panhandle, and eventually Coastal Alabama.

Corey brings years of hands-on construction experience and a passion for quality craftsmanship, while Desiree brings her background in organizational management, business operations, administration, and client relations. Together, they have always viewed their company as more than a construction business—it is a family business built around relationships and a commitment to serving people well.

Today, Corey and Desiree are excited to enter this next chapter with a new generation of leadership. Their sons and son-in-law are becoming increasingly involved in the company, allowing Penrod Construction to grow while maintaining the values that have shaped it from the beginning.

Their philosophy is simple:

Build with excellence. Lead with integrity. Treat people like family.

Whether they are building a custom home, remodeling an existing space, consulting with a homeowner, or completing the details that make a house feel like home, Corey and Desiree believe that every project deserves personal attention and quality workmanship.

Shaun will oversee our Florida operations in the Okeechobee area, helping manage projects from the jobsite to completion and carrying forward the standards and values Penrod Construction was built on.

ZACHARY STRIPLING
📍 Florida Panhandle
📍 Coastal Alabama — coming soon
Pending Alabama licensing.
Zachary will oversee projects throughout the Florida Panhandle and, once our Alabama license is issued, will help lead our expansion into Coastal Alabama.

For years, Corey and Desiree have personally carried nearly every part of the business from estimating and contracts to scheduling, subcontractors, materials and daily jobsite management.

This next chapter is about building a company that can grow without losing what made it special in the first place.

Corey and Desiree will continue providing leadership, estimating, project oversight, client relationships and business development, while Shaun and Zachary take ownership of the day-to-day management of our projects.
