Our 2026 season is complete for now.🦋🦋🦋

Last 2 butterflies emerged today 1 male and 1 female at my parents house. They live in the southern part of Wisconsin so it saves them a few hundred miles of flying.

We released 1458 total, 681 Male and 777 female.

Now we will collect milkweed seed pods to plant more for next season.

Please do your part and dont use pesticides and plant milkweed and native plants to help them succeed next year. 🦋🦋🦋🦋

Been a quiet week here but we still have 5 chrysalis working in changing into butterflies. Praying they complete the change by this time next week while the daytime temps are still in the 60s. Keeping them warm so they dont slow down, and they are in the sunshine during the day.

Yesterday's Male and todays Female being released. She was so anxious to fly after only a few hours didnt even have time to set her into a flower. So her flying nice and high was the only photo I could get. Beautiful blue sky, sunshine and mild wind. Weather is in their favor.

Today's few, they got to fly awayin the sunshine. Supposed to be in the upper 30s tonight and rainy tomorrow. Another emerged late so he is still hanging around and has a potted plant to get nectar.
