Moved in and getting comfortable. I got the gas line, electric lines and the exhaust for the range cut out so the middle cabinet can rest in its place. I also got the pony wall built, this is to help distribute the wight of the 1.5 inch thick 4x8 (whole sheet of plywood sized) Granite Top. I used 2x6 for the base and studs then used a 2x8 for the top. The top will have 8, 18 inch long 1/4 inch thick steel bars recessed in it with a 11 inch over hang to carry the weight of the 12 inch bar area.
