🚩 RED FLAGS AROUND YOUR HOME YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE!
Sometimes the smallest signs around your home can be warning you about a much bigger problem hiding underneath. Catching these issues early could save you from a much more expensive repair later.
Here are some things to keep an eye out for:
🔴 Soft or sagging floors — Could indicate water damage, rotten subflooring, or damaged floor joists.
🔴 Water stains on ceilings or walls — Even an old-looking stain could mean you have a roof, plumbing, or moisture problem.
🔴 Cracks in walls, ceilings, or around doors — Some cracks are normal, but growing or significant cracks could point to movement or structural issues.
🔴 Rotten or damaged exterior wood — Fascia, siding, columns, decks, and trim can deteriorate quickly once moisture gets in.
🔴 Doors or windows suddenly sticking — Sometimes this is more than an annoying door. It can be a sign of moisture, settling, or movement in the home.
🔴 Musty smells or excessive moisture — If something smells damp, there’s usually a reason. Finding the source early is important.
🔴 Bubbling or peeling paint — This can be one of the first visible signs that moisture is getting somewhere it shouldn’t.
