21 years. Today. 21 years she has stood beside me through an endless flow of my entrepreneurial ideas, the endless and manic pursuit of those ideas, my great failures and great successes, she has lived in a single wide trailer in a floodplain that flooded every winter, and she has lived with me on mountain tops. She has gone to church with me in a cargo van full of dewalt tools and exhaust flowing in the rust holes in the back, and she’s toured the San Diego coast in a rented Rolls with me. She has pushed me in a wheelchair when my back was broken, and run 5ks with me. She has buried a son with me, and also raised 3 amazing children with me. She has built a church with me, cooked meals for that church for 5 and a half years every week, and been my rock through every up and down. This woman is beautiful, but what I see in her far exceeds her beauty alone, wonderful as that is…it’s history that could never be compared, love that could never be rivaled, and a commitment in my heart that can never be unraveled. Sarah Marie, you are still the girl of my dreams, and will ever be so, but you are also the woman Scripture described when it was written, “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.””

In case you waved at this pure bred 100% GOOD BOY in the parade this past weekend, we’d like to introduce you to the BILT dog… his name is Bantam Jax, aka, “Tums,” aka “Tum Tums,” aka, “the honey.” He likes long naps, human food, is an absolute FANATIC about squeaky toys, and is often caught randomly growling while wagging his tail. Shout out to Ruff Life Grooming for getting him in his Autumn Glory splendor! 🍂 🎃 🐾

There’s a story behind this garage. It wasn’t just built for storage or convenience.

It was a careful extension of a century-old family legacy on this farm… it had to look like it was always there. It had to look like it was planned from the beginning, and honestly, that’s where we come alive.

Just building things is boring, but building things with a purpose is exhilarating. I’m happy to say that together with their vision and ours, we created the garage of their dreams, and made lifelong friends in the process!

Shortly before Autumn Glory 🍁 rolled around, Tim had a vision for our float… why not take a young person’s artwork and bring it to life? With the help of Crellin Elementary, PILES of hand made pictures were sent in! After a group vote, Caden Canan was the chosen WINNER!! 🥇 Her imagery and outstanding talent gave us a fun slate to work with and we were proud to take it through the festival this year! As icing on the cake, her creativity helped us win our first FLOAT AWARD! 💃🏻 We were honored to come home with the title of, “ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE!” Please give Caden some praise for a job well done!!!! 🧡👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🧡
