Garrett County this is a long post, please read.
We are so excited to see everyone tomorrow!
When we entered this parade, we wanted to do more than just put together a float. I wanted to show you all that you made my dreams come true.
The first year of business, I was scared. The second year got a little easier, but it was still stressful. And here we are, a few years later, still learning, still growing, and still figuring it all out.
Being a small business owner isn’t easy. There are long days, sleepless nights, sacrifices, and plenty of times you wonder if you’re doing everything right. But every time one of you hires CT Services, you’re doing more than supporting a business.
You’re supporting a little girl who needs every horse toy she lays her eyes on and a little boy who’s going to do great things someday. You’re helping put dinner on our table, making family outings possible, and giving us the opportunity to build a life doing something we love.
And for that, I will never be able to thank you enough.
We’ve been working tirelessly on this year’s float because we wanted to create something a little different. From animals made out of pumpkins, a real pond with water, our German Shepherd hanging out in the front yard, and decoupage pumpkins,we’ve poured so much time and heart into every little detail.
But one of the things that means the most to us is that we wanted to source as much as we could locally.
Sometimes, in business, people only see one another as competition. But I’ve never looked at it that way. The local tree trimmers, equipment rental companies, auto parts stores, and restaurants that keep us fed during long workdays, and countless other small businesses are all part of what keeps this community going.
I’ve supported them, and in return, so many have supported us, recommended our work, and helped us grow.
From Klotz and their pumpkins and All produce to the sweetest couple at Cabin Fever Antiques, who dug through their treasures and allowed us to purchase some original Tonka trucks to display, we’ve been all over this county gathering little pieces of what makes this place special.
We’ve changed plans, rearranged things, & it’s not perfect. But it was fun creating replica jobsites.
We love our tourists, our visitors, and the new families choosing to call this beautiful place home. But we especially wanted to take a moment to recognize the locals who have kept this community going for generations.
The people who shop local, hire local, recommend their neighbors, and show up for one another.
We also wanted to share a little video of our float because we know not everyone will be able to make it tomorrow. Whether you’re homebound, have accessibility challenges, or simply can’t attend, we still wanted you to enjoy all the little details we’ve worked so hard on.
So thank you, Garrett County. Thank you for trusting us with your properties, your projects, and your hard-earned money. Thank you for recommending us, cheering us on, and allowing us to raise our family right here while doing what we love.
I’m beyond blessed to be living a dream I once wasn’t sure was possible, and even more blessed by the wonderful people we’ve met along the way.
We are doing final touches,so don’t mind the glue drying!
With love and gratitude,
CT Services
