A warm welcome to Andrew Esposito, who has joined BKF as our Chief Financial Officer.

Andrew was drawn to BKF for many of the same reasons we're proud to call this firm home: a strong culture, talented people, a commitment to excellence, and an exciting vision for the future. As BKF continues to grow and evolve, Andrew's experience leading finance, operations, and strategic growth initiatives will help us build on the momentum we've created and position the firm for continued success.

"From the beginning, I was drawn to BKF's culture, energy, and strong sense of purpose," Andrew shared. "I'm excited to work alongside the leadership team to build on that momentum and help advance our shared vision of becoming the preeminent infrastructure firm in the Western U.S."

We're excited for what's ahead. Join us in welcoming Andrew to the BKF family.

Award-winning transportation connections.

Our work on the $88 million Hwy 156 Improvements project at San Juan Bautista earned the ASCE San Jose Section’s “Outstanding Roadway Project” Award. This latest recognition builds on the project’s 2024 Caltrans Success in Motion Gold Award.

Known as “The Gap,” the project widened 4.5 miles of existing two-lane highway into a four-lane expressway and added 3.5 miles of new roadway alignment. BKF provided resident engineering, structure representative, construction inspection, and office engineering support services to Caltrans District 5 throughout construction.

Delivering a project of this scale required close coordination across jurisdictions and with numerous stakeholders. The team navigated complex roadway and structural improvements, utility conflicts, and coordination with PG&E during replacement of a gas transmission main. Lessons gained from these challenges continue to strengthen BKF’s Construction Management and Transportation practice, building on our extensive CM Transportation presence across Northern California and our experience delivering complex infrastructure for the communities we serve.

Congratulations to BKF’s Frank Sana, Nathaniel Gonzales with Teichert, and the entire project team.

Congratulations to our Pleasanton team for taking the top spot! Their video stood out for its storytelling, teamwork, humor, and office-wide participation, bringing our One Team value to life in a way that was uniquely Pleasanton.

A big thank you to everyone across BKF who participated and showed us what makes their office, and our One Team, special. Check out the winning video below!

WTS Sacramento's programs help create opportunities for women to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact across our profession.

“Investing in organizations like WTS is an investment in the people who will shape our profession for years to come,” says Senior Transportation Project Engineer Natalia Bijak. “Encouraging more women to pursue engineering and creating opportunities for them to connect, learn, and grow makes our industry stronger.”

"I've been fortunate to grow up, study, and build my engineering career here in Northern California, and along the way I've seen firsthand how valuable mentorship and professional connections can be. BKF's sponsorship shows that the company backs its commitment to supporting women in transportation by investing in opportunities that help make it happen."

Great projects start with great people.

Last week, our Southern California teams stepped away from the office and project sites to spend an afternoon together at our annual employee picnic. It was a chance to reconnect, welcome new teammates, celebrate the relationships that make collaboration possible, and simply enjoy time together.

Investing in our people is one of the reasons BKF continues to deliver exceptional work for our clients, and we're grateful to every member of our team who makes that possible.

Thank you to everyone who attended!
