This 16’ x 43’ Tropic pool turned out great!
This project included brand new bullnose coping, 1,000 sq. ft. of pavers, and—most importantly—a proper reinstall.
Unfortunately, the homeowner opened their pool earlier this season to find no water and collapsed walls. After investigating, we discovered the pool had been originally installed on about 14 inches of uncompacted sand. This caused the pool to settle, leading to a plumbing failure that allowed the water to drain out during the winter while it was covered.
The only proper fix for a botched install like this was to remove the entire pool. We excavated nearly 40 tons of sand, regraded and compacted the subgrade, and reset the pool on a solid aggregate base.
Every fitting was replaced—including light niches, returns, drains, and the skimmer—and multiple other issues were corrected during the rebuild.
Unfortunately, there are still far too many bad builders leaving homeowners stuck in situations like this. We’re proud our team was able to step in, resolve the issues, and give this family the pool they deserved.
