Severe cold weather is headed our way, and now is the time to prepare your home to prevent costly damage.

As contractors, we see firsthand how freezing temperatures can lead to burst pipes, heating failures, and emergency repairs. A little preparation now can save a lot of stress later.

Cold Weather Prep Tips:

✔️ Let faucets drip slightly to prevent frozen pipes
✔️ Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate
✔️ Insulate exposed pipes in basements, crawl spaces, and garages
✔️ Disconnect and drain outdoor hoses
✔️ Check weather stripping and seal drafts around doors and windows
✔️ Make sure your furnace is serviced and filters are clean
✔️ Know where your main water shut-off valve is located - just in case

If you notice warning signs like reduced water flow, unusual noises in pipes, or cold spots in your home, don’t ignore them.
