1. The bottom corners of your windows.
Notice staining, soft trim, peeling paint, or caulk that has pulled away. Those little details can point to water getting where it should not.

2. Where the deck meets the house.
The connection point, stairs, railing posts, and the first few boards near the door tend to work hard all season. Look for movement, soft spots, loose fasteners, or anything that feels less solid than it should.

3. The threshold at your exterior doors.
If a door sticks, daylight peeks through, or the area around the threshold feels worn, it is worth paying attention to before wet fall weather arrives.
