A vacant building. A new opportunity. A stronger future for students.

We joined Chicago Collegiate Charter School and ARCO/Murray to celebrate the completion of CCCS's new campus in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood.

The Legat-designed retrofit transforms an abandoned facility into a clean and modern learning environment. The 43,000-square-foot facility consolidates the organization’s previously separate middle and high schools at one campus. Project highlights include renovation of three floors in the main building, renovation of an adjacent gymnasium, and an entrance lobby addition that ties the two buildings together.

We joined Carl Sandburg College and our partner Estes Construction in Galesburg, Illinois, to break ground on the new Charger Center — a 70,000-square-foot facility designed to bring athletics, academics, events, and the broader community together under one roof.

From multiple gymnasiums and an esports arena to turf fields and spaces for regional events, the Charger Center will create new opportunities for generations of students and community members. What does it look like when CTE spaces are designed around the work students are preparing to do?

At the North Scott Regional Innovation Center, hands-on learning takes place in environments built for real equipment and career-connected instruction. From animal science and agriculture to diesel technology, construction, nursing, and other pathways, the facility gives students room to learn by doing.

Designed by Legat, the center serves as a regional hub for career and technical education, supporting students from six school districts in partnership with Eastern Iowa Community College.

Earlier this month, tens of thousands of “adopted” rubber ducks made a splash in the Chicago River for the annual Chicago Ducky Derby!🦆

Legat’s Len Wynter, Jordyn Knox, Abigail Thompson, and Miguel Carrera stopped by the Columbus Drive Bridge to watch as 90,000 ducks were released into the river, all in support of Special Olympics Illinois.

Two Rivers YMCA in Moline, Illinois broke ground on phase two of a $25 million improvement campaign that will refresh the facility’s image, enhance navigation, and introduce more amenities. We joined our partners at Two Rivers YMCA and Russell Co to celebrate the start of this new chapter in the 50-year-old facility's story.
