Spraying to grade before concrete in Norwich, NY today.

Why you ask? With spray foam there are no seams, joints, etc. it is a seamless system and much more reliable than traditional foam board plus the instal is just a fraction of the time. Closed cell spray foam provides a v***r retardant and also acts as a radon barrier in these applications while improving the structural stability of the concrete.

Just wrapped up this 100x120 building in upstate NY. Will return once metal is on front of building. R30 on the topside of the ceiling and R22 over house wrap in the walls.

6 full days spraying foam on this jobsite. Few of them working alone 16.5 sets of foam sprayed.

Been quiet on here the past few days but not for lack of work, we’ve been working on this 100x120 building starting with an R30 of Huntsman Building Solutions Heatlok HFO high lift in the top.

As you can see we make a quick first pass to stiffen up the metal in this situation we’re first passing a 10x120 section before going through and finishing it to depth. Application like this on the topside of any ceiling is important to prevent bowing or imperfections in the finished product. This is where experience matters.

Always enjoy getting to put life back into these old barn projects, some of my favorite kind of work.

When the prep work matters, we’re prepared to make it happen. It matters all of the time but these homes with old “barn wood” no detail can be missed in preserving the integrity of the original beam.

For some this kind of work might be a pain, get rushed, have a gap in the plastic, think it might scrape and have over spray stained beams.

The small details are what makes a world of difference, and here for some reason I actually enjoy the meticulous prep work that goes into this kind of work. Each piece of “barn wood” has a story and we’re glad to be a part of it.
