John W. Danforth, an EMCOR company, recently shared an update on their current group of interns. Now in the second half of their summer term, they had two recent opportunities to gain valuable hands-on experience and industry exposure.

During a visit to Alfred State, they got a firsthand look at the day-to-day operations of an active construction site on a college campus, providing them with valuable insight into the planning, coordination, and ex*****on that go into every project. The day concluded with a Buffalo Bisons game, where the interns enjoyed some great Buffalo staples while networking with team members from across Danforth.

The following day, interns explored commercial heating and cooling systems and learned about the latest industry technologies thanks to J.W. Swanson and their mobile Swanson Education Center. The experience wrapped up with a hands-on lunch-and-learn where they had the opportunity to groove pipe, work with Victaulic fittings, and put their skills to the test in a friendly pipe assembly competition.

EMCOR companies nationwide offer internships focused on real-world skills and practical career development. We are proud to play a role in developing the next generation of industry leaders and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them.

Southern Industrial Constructors, an EMCOR company, recently hosted a site breakfast safety meeting to discuss their year-to-date incident summary and other safety protocols.

Following the meeting, employees participated in a “Spin the Wheel” activity and answered questions on a variety of safety topics in order to win prizes. It was a great way to reinforce important safety principles while giving team members a chance to connect and be reminded of their commitment to looking out for one another.

At EMCOR Group, safety is integrated into everything we do. We are extremely proud that our safety performance consistently remains strong year after year with an incident rate that has been less than half the industry average for 15 consecutive years.

At EMCOR Group, we believe that successful projects start with preparation. Before any equipment is lifted into place, our crews come together to review the plan, discuss responsibilities, and make sure everyone is aligned on the work ahead.

These photos come from a recent crane lift performed by DeBra-Kuempel, an EMCOR company. They highlight the teamwork, communication, and coordination that go into this type of complex mechanical work. That same commitment to professionalism is a part of every project our companies engage in.

From the pre-lift briefing to the final placement of equipment, each step requires careful planning and ex*****on to help keep the project moving safely and efficiently. Great work!
