Textures...there is so much to offer in the world of plants. I am enjoying this collection of sedums, bought through my niece's school fundraiser.

When designing a landscape, I think about how plants will look when not in bloom...how does it pair with neighboring plants? Leaf color, veining, size and growth habits.

It takes some practice, and certainly I don't get it right all the time...but gardens are like a puzzle with pieces coming together and sometimes, being switched out when neccesary.

Happy Spring😎⚘️

I am enjoying all the green coming through the drab of winter...pansies add some early spring color to the landscape: best part is they can take our cold overnight temps--down to 16 degrees(hopefully, we don't get that low)🙃
