Our White Oak had a plentiful crop of acorns this Fall🍂🍁

The squirrels have been busy, running back and forth, with their stash to the woods...and often, up the tree under our dogs' watchful eye😎

We found several sprouted acorns and planted them in our woods. They will root in before Winter and hopefully, sprout leaves next Spring. So fun!

Textures...there is so much to offer in the world of plants. I am enjoying this collection of sedums, bought through my niece's school fundraiser.

When designing a landscape, I think about how plants will look when not in bloom...how does it pair with neighboring plants? Leaf color, veining, size and growth habits.

It takes some practice, and certainly I don't get it right all the time...but gardens are like a puzzle with pieces coming together and sometimes, being switched out when neccesary.
