You want to talk about the best time of the year to plant, we are entering it now. Cooler days, cooler evenings makes maintaining a new planting so much easier.
The season is starting out busy and the garden centers and nurseries are ready for us.
Look at all of the beautiful plants still waiting for the perfect Yard to call home.
One of the nicest things about fall planting, no spring projects. You get to just sit back and watch the new garden growing.

 There’s nothing I like better than doing jobs in my hometown!
This Wilmette house was so much fun to unbury.
I don’t know what it is about this client, she won my heart and my trust from day one. It’s not easy to win both of those with me that quickly.
 I see this is being a long-term garden relationship, if I’m lucky. Together we were able to start to open up the homes curb appeal, slowly start to add plants that make the house pop out instead of disappear, and hide an AC unit in a way that if a technician ever needs to get at it, it won’t make their life miserable and it will still get plenty of airflow around it.
This is only the beginning, the best is yet to come. A beautiful landscaping evolves over the years.

If you ever need a good chuckle, I will introduce you to this client, she made me laugh harder than I have in a long time😂

Such a fun spruce up!
When life threw this client  a curveball she turned it into a home run!
Not only have I had a great time turning “her” space into a quiet little paradise,  I have made a wonderful new friend in life.
Sometimes tearing out the old and freshening it up with a little color and purpose makes life feel so good.
I’m sure there’s an angel smiling down on this garden, and I’m sure he’s approving 100%!
Thanks again to a phenomenal group of men that make my visions happen and make my clients happy!
I could never do this without you guys.

One of my favorite homes to work at. I no longer call them clients I call them friends. Every year a few new projects, every year a more and more beautiful Yard. Every year, I have to fight with the ducks for a place to sit.
Sadly, we lost some old, large oak trees, so we have gone from a shade garden to Bright Sun.
A couple of years to mature, and it will be beautiful.
So grateful for such awesome clients!

What an awesome opportunity this spring to be able to work on such a magnificent home on Evanston’s Lakefront. I love to watch a family restore these old homes as opposed to tear them down.

What an awesome feeling to actually put plants in the ground for the first time this season. It was a long cold spring to finally get to this point.
Some people look for a straight hedge to block the world out, this family opted for beautiful hydrangeas and ornamental grasses that will invite the neighbors in.
We hadn’t even finished the job when a neighbor stopped and asked for our business card.
This is going to be so beautiful this fall when it gets its autumn coloring and just dances in the wind.

I know everybody is anxious to have their yards cleaned up and mulch and plants to start going in the ground, but this year we are being blessed with rain in April. Lots and lots of rain.
It’s been a few years since our spring season had a nice healthy start with the help of natural rain. Due to that everybody is behind schedule this year. We are all out there working as hard as we can and as fast as we can to catch up so everybody can enjoy their yards this year.
So please be patient and know we are going to be there soon.
There’s a lot of good things to be said for April showers if you’re not in the landscape business.
Never forget April showers bring May flowers.
