Perhaps my favorite wallpaper to date, but honestly I say that every time.

I couldn’t love murals more, this particular one mimics their back yard (the Niagara River), I think it’s exactly what it would have looked like during the trade era of the early 1800’s.

Clouds on the ceiling, black and white on the floor- I am what you can call, ‘semi-pro.’ ✨

I can’t wait to show the reveal!

We did it again ✨🖤✨

✨Sorcery✨ See, I told you I was a witch! How else could I turn these before shots into the after?! I had a TON of fun decorating in pinks (which if you know me, you know). 🖤

Be sure to check out the tour of homes tomorrow from 11-4. You get to peak inside some of the most beautiful homes in Buffalo, starting with the Frank Lloyd Wright’s ‘Darwin Martian’ home.

I was born and raised in the Parkside district, went to St. Mark’s on Woodward and fell asleep being sung to sleep by the sounds of Hyenas, Lions and elephants. Growing up in Buffalo was literally wild.

So, it really amazes me how people see things. WHEN YOU look at this backsplash, what shape do you see? Because I see a flower, but my clients liked it because they saw the squares. It took me a little bit to see them, because I liked the flower.

I love when your brain can switch back and forth and see both at different times. I am sure the flower seers are the creatives and the square people are the logics (these clients are both engineers).

What did you see first? Would you say you’re a creative or a logic?

✨Monarch is excited to have our first ✨Manifestation Workshop✨ May 16 from 12-3.

What to expect: Intentional refreshments will be served, we will be beginning with a make and take (designed by you) ornament. But first, you will be guided to help bring your intentions to your fingertips. So you can create a piece that reminds you what your hearts desire every time you look at your ornament.

After we have completed the manifestation ceremony, we will have an ✨amazing✨ sound healing ceremony. If you’ve never done one, you sit and close your eyes (or lay down, please bring a yoga mat) and just feel the different signing bowls, gongs and other pieces that uses to release whatever is stuck in your aura/chakras. Following the ceremony, she will be doing an individual healing.

I believe that we are only as good as the energy we keep (which includes people, actions and intentions). If you’ve ever been interested and wanted to find your safe place to heal, we welcome you with open arms.

I hope you join us, we would love to have you send a special afternoon with us ✨🦋✨

There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a “data brain” meets a “design brain.”

My clients for this project are brilliant CPAs. They live in a world of logic, spreadsheets, and cold hard facts. My world is built on “visions” and a 20-year internal compass that tells me how a room should make homeowners feel. The biggest challenge wasn’t the layout; it was the trust. This bathroom was massive, cold, and filled with strange builder-grade choices (like those hollow pillars—what were they thinking?!). I knew we needed custom ceiling beams to anchor the room, but asking an analytical mind to “just trust me” on a structural gamble is a lot to ask.

Watching them lean into my vision and trust the decades of experience I carry is truly my favorite part of this job. We traded the cold tile for the warmth of LVP and softened those soaring walls with my favorite House of Scalamandré paper.

I’m officially retiring this wallpaper from my library after this project, but I couldn’t have asked for a better “final bow” for it. In the end, the logic and the magic met right in the middle, and I think we all fell in love with the result. Soaking in this tub is a dream✨

I woke up to some news that has me feeling incredibly humbled. ✨

I am so honored to share that I’ve been nominated for the Woman of Impact Award at this year’s Ignite Awards from the Women’s Business Center at Canisius University 🏆

Being selected from a list of 60 incredible women leading and building across Western New York, I’m just so proud to be included in this group. When I started Monarch, my goal was to create “sanctuaries”—spaces that truly impact how families live and connect with their homes. To be recognized for that impact in my own community means the world to me!

Huge thank you to whoever nominated me and to the team for the work you do celebrating WNY women. The classes I have taken there have helped launch Monarch to each next level. 🥂 Can’t wait to celebrate with everyone at the kickoff event and fingers crossed be the winner of this amazing award.

The table is set and the luck is high! ☘️✨

Celebrating St. Paddy’s Day at home today. My husband handles the heritage (and the corned beef), and I handle the aesthetics (and the vegan ham).

I’ve always said that a kitchen isn’t just about the cabinets—it’s about the memories made around the table. Styling these “Sanctuary” moments for my clients is secretly one of my favorite parts of my design process. From the big layout to the tiny napkin details, it all matters. On this place setting is my grandmother’s gold rimmed dessert plates, tea cups and her crystal glasses. She always loved when we would do our ‘fancy’ dinners (even though we are super Italian). I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately and I miss her, but I know she’s still around.

Wishing you a day full of luck and a table full of family! 💚

I took these at the end of last summer, inspired by my Black Eye Susans, but also by the new color that is perfect for a Monarch inspired space. The KBIS this year was so colorful that I am excited to incorporate some funky things.

Fingers crossed, I get to design a literal kitchen/bath/room inspired completely by the butterfly.

✨Design Hound Find 5✨

We’ve reached the final pick, and I saved something truly special for the finish line. Say hello to EcoDomo—my absolute favorite way to bring unexpected depth, warmth, and serious “cool factor” into a space.

If you’re tired of flat surfaces, this is the answer. EcoDomo specializes in recycled leather surfaces, and seeing it in person is a total game-changer. It’s the perfect example of how sustainability can be incredibly sexy.

Why It’s My Final Top Pick:

• The Feel: Imagine the buttery texture of a luxury car interior or a vintage trunk, but on your kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, or even your floors. It adds a layer of “soul” that stone or wood just can’t match.

• Depth & Drama: Whether it’s a sleek buffalo grain or a bold crocodile texture, it creates a play of light and shadow that makes any room feel curated and high-end.

• Tougher Than It Looks: Don’t let the word “leather” scare you. Their recycled leather is engineered to be water and stain-resistant, making it a surprisingly durable choice for high-traffic areas like the kitchen or bath.

Where I’m Dreaming of Putting It:

I am dying to see an EcoDomo wrapped island or a textured leather backsplash. It’s that “quiet luxury” look that makes people stop and say, “Wait, what is that material?”

That’s a wrap on my Design Hound finds!

✨Design Hound Find 4✨The Jewelry of the Kitchen 💍✨

If you’ve heard me say it once, you’ve heard me say it a thousand times: Hardware is the jewelry of the kitchen. And if that’s true, then is the high-end diamond gallery. 💎

For my fourth Design Hound find, I’m highlighting a brand that creates pieces that don’t just “finish” a room—they make it. I recently got my hands on their Serifos Snake Pull, and let me tell you, it is a literal heavy-hitter. It’s the weightiest, most substantial handle I’ve ever held, and the quality is unmistakable.

Why Modern Matter is a Must-Watch:

• The “Weight” of Quality: These aren’t your average hollow pulls. They are solid, artisan-crafted pieces that feel as expensive as they look.

• Artistic Innovation: Their designs (like the snake!) feel like modern artifacts. They take traditional brass casting and turn it into something edgy and editorial.

• Total Transformation: You could put these on the most basic builder-grade cabinet and suddenly, you have a custom-designer kitchen.

A Little Style Note:

I know we are technically leaving the Year of the Snake behind (goodbye 2025, hello 2026!), but this hardware is far too iconic to be limited to a calendar year. This snake pull is 100% getting incorporated into a project this year. It’s timeless, a little bit rebellious, and exactly the kind of statement piece every room needs.

Stay tuned to see where these “jewels” end up! 🐍✨
