Custom homes, built from the ground up.

At MacPherson Building, we’ve been building in Rhode Island for five generations. Today, we bring that experience to every custom home we build — from the first day on site through the final details.

Every home is different. Different property, different design, different priorities. Our job is to take that vision and build it the right way.

Here’s a look at some of the homes and details we’ve had the opportunity to build throughout Rhode Island.

Making progress on our latest custom home in Westerly, RI.

Floor framing is well underway and this one is starting to take shape. A lot going on in this floor system with these engineered beams and foundation sections, but it’s coming together nicely.

Next up — getting some walls in the air. 🔨

Waterproofing the foundation today, then ready to backfill and frame 🏠

The house starts long before the framing. Footings are formed and we’re getting ready to pour on this custom home in Westerly.

Appreciative of this quick day trip to be a piece in representing the Rhode Island Builders Association at the NAHB Leadership Conference this week.

Great conversations with legislators and industry leaders about housing, workforce development, and the challenges facing the construction industry. Advocacy matters, and it’s important that builders help shape the future of housing.
