I’ve got thousands of photos. These I keep looking at.

Not because they’re pretty — because they show guys who refused to walk away from a hard day. Whether it’s working through the weekend around the country, figuring out how to get pipe that’s heavier than expected off a truck, or getting sprayed in the face with sewage.

You can’t hire that. You either build it into the company or you don’t have it.

I’ve got thousands of photos. The fact I’m always taking photos honestly drives everyone around me crazy. These I keep looking at.

Not because they’re pretty — because they show guys who refused to walk away from a hard day. Whether it’s working through the weekend around the country, figuring out how to get pipe that’s heavier than expected off a truck and then setting it into place with three excavators, or getting sprayed in the face with sewage.

You can’t hire that. You either build it into the company or you don’t have it.

Prefab is becoming a core delivery strategy for data-center work, not an add-on. As the ENR article points out, the biggest schedule gains often happen before construction starts: earlier contractor involvement, better coordination, more offsite fabrication and fewer "throats to choke".

We are already applying that model to tech-water cooling systems—bringing engineering, procurement, fabrication and field installation together under one team.

So why not do it on the backside of the project as well????

We see the same opportunity on the testing and commissioning side. Which as licensed PE's through Civil Engineers & Constructors, LLC we are uniquely suited to do.

Our latest initiative is a mobile testing and commissioning skid, designed and fabricated in our North Sioux City shop. It allows us to clean, flush, passivate, rinse and charge Technology Cooling System loops before IT load is energized, verify that the system meets acceptance criteria, and document that condition at handover.

That is important because with these closed-loop systems, getting the water chemistry and particulate condition right at startup is far easier than trying to correct it after the system is sealed and operating.

So our approach is becoming broader than just prefab construction. It is: get involved earlier, engineer it, prefabricate it, install it, then help prove it is ready to operate.

The image here shows tech-water piping fabricated in North Sioux City and headed to a project in Texas. We would like to do considerably more of this work—preferably across the Midwest, but anywhere the right project takes us.

Between CEC’s engineering capabilities and RP’s fabrication, process piping, equipment installation, civil and self-perform construction capabilities, we can provide a very different kind of partner for data-center owners, developers and contractors.

With RP Constructors expanding across new regions, our digital JSA system has become a cornerstone of stronger safety culture.

Initiated and developed in-house by Adam Batschelet and strengthened through field oversight and training by Safety Officer Todd Lowe, the system brings GPS tracking, digital signatures, analytics, and real-world insights that drive weekly training and better communication.

Adam and Todd presented this work at the Captive Conference Innovation Awards in Nashville, where the presentation was very well received!

Community involvement is something we genuinely enjoy.

Today the crew was out supporting the Jamie Ummach Memorial Tournament in Correctionville. Maria, Jason, Cody and Melissa represented RP — and, based on the reports I’m getting, all four have now qualified for the Masters next April.

Apparently Augusta National has a very liberal qualification process.

Great event, great cause and a good day to support the community.
