REDD provided engineering support for a client preparing two containers used in ANSOL production for shipment. To ensure accurate documentation of the existing systems prior to transport, the client required comprehensive as-built drawings reflecting current field conditions. REDD leveraged previously captured 3D scan data to efficiently update and validate the existing Plant3D model.

The project scope included conversion of the scan data into an updated as-built model, ensuring all piping, structural, and mechanical elements were accurately represented. This enabled precise documentation of the containers’ current configuration, supporting both operational continuity and future reinstallation or integration efforts.

Engineering deliverables included the creation of general arrangement drawings, including a cover sheet and drawing list, as well as detailed piping isometrics with associated bills of materials (BOMs). In addition, REDD updated a range of existing drawings to reflect as-built conditions, including P&IDs, architectural layouts, and structural plans, elevations, and details.

Mechanical and piping plan and elevation drawings were also revised to align with the updated model. These comprehensive as-built deliverables provide the client with accurate, field-verified documentation to support logistics, installation planning, and long-term asset management.

REDD provided process engineering support for a client developing a Black Waxy Crude refining plant. Building upon preliminary process flow diagrams (PFDs) and early-stage column concepts, REDD was engaged to advance the design and engineering of two distillation columns located downstream of the cracking process.

The scope of work focused on the detailed design and validation of the two columns. REDD performed process simulations to evaluate system performance and separation efficiency, while also preparing equipment datasheets to define key design parameters and specifications. These efforts ensured the columns were optimized for reliable operation within the broader refining system.

Engineering deliverables included a comprehensive Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing package. This package featured a cover sheet, updated PFDs, and a PFD with defined BTU requirements to support utility planning. In addition, REDD developed detailed mechanical plans, sections, and design details for the distillation columns, as well as structural drawings for davits and pipe supports. Civil engineering designs were also provided, including foundation plans, sections, and details for each column installation.

These integrated engineering deliverables equipped the client with the necessary documentation to proceed confidently into fabrication and construction, supporting successful deployment of the refining unit and enabling efficient processing of Black Waxy Crude.

REDD provided engineering and design services for a facility seeking to implement a bypass of its existing clinker drag system by tying into piping connected to a dust collector serving a clinker silo. As part of this upgrade, the client required replacement of existing mild steel piping with wear-resistant piping to improve durability and extend service life in a high-abrasion environment.

The project involved detailed engineering to ensure proper integration of the new bypass line into the existing system. Given the increased weight of the wear pipe, REDD performed a structural integrity assessment to evaluate existing supports and confirm their ability to accommodate the additional load. Where necessary, structural modifications were designed to maintain system safety and reliability.

Scope of work also included redesigning the piping system following removal of the existing mild steel infrastructure, as well as investigation and coordination related to hood replacement. In addition, REDD provided structural engineering to modify an existing staircase, platform, and handrailing system to support the selected design option and maintain safe access for operations and maintenance personnel.

The final deliverables included a comprehensive Issued for Construction (IFC) design package for the clinker bypass wear piping system. This package featured pipe support designs, structural and demolition details, and bills of materials (BOMs), along with creating a new company title block. These integrated solutions enable improved system durability, safe access, and reliable long-term operation.
