Confused on what type of mulch is best to use? Here are some FAQ's and answers about the mulches we carry:
"What kind of colorant is used on the color enriched mulches and is it safe for my pets and children?"
Our mulch colorants are completely natural, food and cosmetic-grade ingredients. They are non-toxic and safe for plants, pets and humans.
Can color enriched mulch stain my driveway when it is delivered?
Yes, it can temporarily stain your driveway. The colorant will wash off after a few good rains or a power washer will remove it also. It would be best and we recommend placing a tarp or plastic down prior to our delivery to prevent any staining. Make sure it is large enough, our drivers will do their best to keep the TimberRidge or Grandscape mulch on the tarp while dumping.
What is the difference in your mulches?
Our Bark mulch is made entirely from the outside of bark of the hardwood tree. It is fine in texture, lays uniformly and will add nutrients to your soils as it breaks down. In it's natural color it will fade faster than a color enhanced product.
Wood mulch, our Timber Ridge products, are made from the dense inner part of the hardwood tree after the bark has been removed. A wood mulch is a bit mor coarse in texture and takes longer to break down.
Are pallets used in the making of your wood mulches?
NEVER! Wood pallets and other building materials are never used in the production of our wood mulches. This eliminates any contamination from the pallets past life, like chemicals, metals, paper, soft woods that break down quicker. The only wood used in producing our wood mulches is straight from the lumber mills with no contamination from past life worries.
