FROM THE ORIGINAL HOUSE… TO THIS.
A little progress update on this transformation.
What started as an older home with a completely different look has now taken on a whole new identity. The structure is up, the exterior is coming together, and the new design is finally starting to show.
Seeing the original house next to where it is today really puts the transformation into perspective.
There’s still more to finish, but this is the stage where the vision really starts to become real.
Same property. Completely different home.

One keeps the fireplace more understated and lets the room breathe. The other turns the entire wall into a feature with custom trim, built-ins, storage, and the TV incorporated into the design.
That’s the fun part about a fireplace wall there are so many ways to finish it depending on the style of the home.

DISASTER WEDNESDAY
Think knocking down that wall will automatically make your house better? Think again.
Open concept can look amazing but only when the entire space is redesigned around it.
Removing walls without planning the new layout can leave you with:
• Nowhere for furniture to go
• Awkward traffic around the kitchen island
• Less wall space for cabinets and storage
• Lighting that no longer makes sense
• Dining and living areas that feel like they’re floating in one giant room
• A space that feels bigger but not necessarily better
The goal shouldn’t be to remove as many walls as possible.
The goal is to create a home that looks good, flows well, and actually works for the way you live.
Sometimes opening things up is the perfect solution.
Other times, keeping a little separation makes the house function much better.
