As we get into cooling season here in the northeast utility companies will be trying desperately to meet demand. There are more electric vehicles. More household appliances and yard equipment that require powe and charging. The cost to cool your home is increasing by the day. No better way to reduce your cost to cool your space than closed cell foam. In the middle of the day most attic temperatures exceed 95f.
I have recorded temps over 140f.
Closed cell foam stops bulk heat gain. Imagine if your attic could consistently stay within 5 to 10 degrees of your indoor demand temperature?

Safety Alert
This could save your life!

With all the advertising and focus on adding insulation to an existing attic be sure your not starving your furnace for combustion air.

Many insulation companies are performing this work and may not even know this risk exists.

Starving your furnace for air can cause it to pull air back down the exhaust stack creating harmful gasses inside your home.

A furnace like this one requires a well vented attic. If the new insulation is blocking your vents you may have a problem.

If you know of someone who had work done pass this along.

I would sure like to know the actual R Value of 20 year old fiberglass 8" thick with with rodent tunnels and a trail dead mice inside. May be handy for those planning to put new fiberglass batt in vaulted rafters.
Does anyone know if decaying animals and tons of p**p off gas? Could this impact your indoor air?

This is a typical government/local utility provider handy work. Looks pretty but... ineffective the light cans in those silver duct wrap were allowing enough air by pass to fashion a new hair do when you stand below them on a cold and windy day. We will undo and re - do the right way.
It's good to get 2500.00 off your insulation install but way better to get it done right the first time.

Gearing up for the next polar vortex impact with spring less than a month away.
With all the wind and low temps water lines, sprinkler pipes even drains and vent pipes are freezing causing serious damage inside buildings and homes. Wrapping the lines with the proper mechanical insulation helps to prevent freezing and bursting pipes.
